Our story

Phil and Jenny met while playing video games with their mututal friend Caitlin. Jenny had known Phil for just a little while before finally making a trip to Detroit to visit Caitlin and also to meet all of their gaming friends.

Jenny and Phil immediately gravitated toward one another and found a lot of joy in each other's company. That first night they stayed up until dawn talking about games, stories, friends, family...anything to keep the night from ending. They were inseperable from that moment forward.

A few days later Jenny had to go home but they remained in constant contact. Phil came to visit her in St. Louis just one month later! That was the first of many road trips they would make to see each other before Phil moved to St. Louis to live with Jenny in December of 2012.

They lived in St. Louis for a bit over a year, gaming a lot but also getting outside and enjoying biking, hiking, and swimming. One thing that brought them together other than gaming was their interest in going on adventures.

In July of 2014, Phil invited Jenny to play a game he had been making over the course of a few weeks. Jenny loves text based games and Phil wanted to make something special for her. Overjoyed, Jenny gladly played and quickly completed all of the quests, only dying once! At the end of the game, the final screen displayed a big, blinking heart Phil had painstakingly created out of slashes and arrows. As the big heart scrolled by, Phil got down on one knee and asked Jenny to marry him! She said yes!

Soon after the proposal, they both found greater opportunity in Phil's home state and moved to Dearborn Heights in August of 2014. They are ecstatic to be married and to begin the next chapter of their family.
